Delphine Frichet is a well-known figure in the world of women's motorcycling. An avid traveler, she criss-crosses France and the trail circuit. In this interview, she tells us about her career path, from horse riding to motorcycling, via airplane piloting. Her hard-hitting opinion on women motorcyclists will surprise you. There's no banality in her words, she's right on the money.

How do men feel about a girl like you who rides a lot and rides well?
I never had a single negative comment from a man about my riding when I started out. On the contrary, the boys were happy to bring me along. I was lucky enough to ride behind guys who had very good trajectories, and I also did some training with the gendarmerie.
On the other hand, the jealousy of women, yes, it's felt a lot more, I think. In what way? People are jealous because we talk about you, because we do a lot of things. You can't prevent backbiting, but sometimes I find it hard to accept, because I find it all ridiculous.

On the contrary, I'm happy to see people succeed and travel, it gives me a change of scene and makes me want to imitate them. I get up in the morning and look at certain blog pages where people talk about their travels.
I think it's important to learn from each other. Don't forget biker solidarity. I've discovered it even more in the world of trail riding. In this specialty, you really need each other in certain situations. You have to help each other out. No, on the contrary, you need the advice of those who have gone before you. And when we meet up at the bivouac in the evening, there are no more boys and no more girls. We've all sweated, we've all fallen, and we're all the same.
