Frequently asked questions
Here are the most frequently asked questions to help you choose your motorcycle equipment, helmet or accessory.
-
How do I lubricate my motorcycle?
Using your center stand or a workshop stand, you'll start by degreasing your chain with a degreaser and a brush. After that comes the part with which the grease is to be applied to your chain. Find out more in this video, which also explains how to grease your chain without a center/workstand.

Complete kit or just chain grease?
If you don't own any of these products - grease, chain cleaner or chain brush - it's sometimes better to go straight for a complete kit. The price will be more attractive and the kit will last you longer! An example is the iPone complete kit , which offers generous volume at a very attractive price.
On the other hand, if you already own some equipment and you know what kind of grease you're looking for, it may be worthwhile to buy one item at a time, to avoid buying parts twice that you probably won't need.

Why grease your motorcycle chain?
Dust, mud, rain... our chain is put to the test every day. A chain is a safety feature on your motorcycle, so maintaining it is essential. Riding with an unmaintained chain can be dangerous not only for you, but also for other road users. Without cleaning, lubrication and tensioning, your chain will wear out prematurely. The damage can go as far as breakage.
How do I maintain my motorcycle chain?
A motorcycle chain has a lifespan of tens of thousands of kilometers. With proper maintenance, you can ensure that your chain will last longer. To maintain it, it's quite simple: first clean your chain with a cloth or brush, accompanied by a degreaser or brake cleaner. Don't hesitate to turn your wheel with your hand to facilitate the maneuver (the wheel should preferably be raised by a center or workshop stand).
Next, apply the grease to your chain, always using your wheel to turn your chain. Once you've applied the grease, leave it to rest for a few hours, so that it's fully incorporated into your chain.
How often should I maintain my motorcycle chain?
This will depend on your use and environment. As a general rule, we recommend cleaning and greasing every 500 KM. If you've been riding in the rain, this figure should be around 200-300 KM.
