What types of motorcycle transmission are there?
There are 3 types of motorcycle transmission. Here's a brief overview.
Chain drive
The most common type, it offers a number of advantages:
- Better performance: less power loss, and therefore optimized machine performance.
- Inexpensive: it's the least expensive solution compared to a belt or universal joint.
However, the drive chain requires regular maintenance. Just grease the rollers and you're done! The chain kit consists of a sprocket, chain and sprocket.
