The average person takes between 0.5 and 1 full second to react to hazards. Most OEM brake pedals have a small footprint and a single position. But most off-road riders regularly change their foot position when moving from standing to sitting. If your foot isn't already correctly positioned on the rear brake pedal, you're potentially doubling the reaction time and distance to a critical stop.
AltRider has eliminated this additional risk with the DualControl brake pedal extension, which consists of 2 parts to improve control and reaction time: a raised pad and an enlarged turntable.
Enlarged plate:
The ever-changing terrain of off-road riding means your whole body is constantly moving and adapting. The aluminum enlarged turntable gives your foot a larger working surface, giving you more control over the rear brake.
Raised shoe:
Ideal for engaging the rear brake in a standing position, placing your foot in an optimum position (25.4mm rise).
