Modern women bikers are lucky. 20/30 years ago, there were no motorcycle jackets dedicated to women. They were forced to choose their gear from the men's range. This sometimes led to improbable outfits. The female passenger often ended up wearing her boyfriend's old motorcycle jacket. Those who were more fussy about their look would end up with an unprotected city leather jacket not designed for motorcycling.
