Puig's Z-Racing bubbles are designed to be aerodynamically more efficient than the original ones, tested in a virtual wind tunnel to ensure improved aerodynamic coefficient (Cx) and aerodynamic protection for the rider. Thanks to its double curvature, it diverts the wind that would otherwise affect the helmet and upper torso. The two side channels collect airflow and channel it outwards to reduce air pressure on the rider's shoulders.

Aerodynamic protection is improved by 12.7% (average vertical position) compared to the original model, and by 61% in the "racing" riding position.

The latest-generation Racing bubbles with double curvature are made in Barcelona from high-resistance acrylic material, 3 mm thick.
