On the African Twin 1000, the right footrest support is a piece of forged aluminum that is quite critical: it serves as a fixing point for the exhaust, for the central crutch (if installed), as a pivot for the brake lever and, naturally, support for the footrest.

In the event of an off-road practice, this piece exposed to rock shocks and projections can brutally break and compromise the continuation of the ballad.

Based on this (vécu), Canadian Camel ADV Products have developed a reinforcement/protection piece that drastically reduces the risk of breakage.
