On the Africa Twin 1000, the right footrest support is a critical forged aluminum part: it serves as an attachment point for the exhaust, for the center stand (if fitted), as a pivot for the brake lever and, naturally, as a support for the footrest.

In the event of serious off-road riding, this part, exposed to shocks and stones, can break and brutally compromise the continuation of the ride.

Based on this experience, the Canadians at Camel ADV Products have developed a reinforcement/protection part that drastically reduces the risk of breakage.
