Extreme traction

The design of the studs and their layout are designed to offer extreme traction on the toughest rally terrain. The rear tire focuses on traction, which is why the tread design is composed of three large blocks with a determined height and spacing, offering traction on soft terrain.
The lateral row of studs works like a claw, penetrating the ground and generating excellent traction.
The large surface area of each block provides a wide contact zone, ensuring grip on hard terrain.
The reinforced structure reduces the effect of rotation and engages the compound at a low temperature, offering extreme traction on all terrains and in all conditions, at all temperatures and speeds.

Total stability

The KAROO™ Extreme structure uses a high-modulus/low-shrinkage fiber with a multi-layer carcass that offers contact feel, stability when braking and maximum flexibility to absorb forces when over jumps or obstacles. It also features a very light structure to promote high-speed stability and excellent handling. The structure has been specially developed for extreme off-road competitions with inner tubes and foams, and for use with heavy and powerful motorcycles in rallies, on long special stages at high speeds, often during hot seasons and on constantly changing terrain.

Tear and wear resistance of studs

The KAROO™ Extreme compound formulation combines natural rubber for mechanical strength and a synthetic rubber for wear and tear resistance.
The high percentage of carbon black increases resistance to all types of stress, even at high temperatures typical of desert racing, and makes the studs resistant to tearing and premature wear.
On hard terrain, the compound prevents the tire from overheating, reducing the risk of explosion or blistering during races. Thanks to improved flexibility, the structure offers excellent puncture resistance even at low pressures.
