The profiles of the KAROO™ Street are derived directly from those of the TOURANCE™ NEXT, with the precise aim of improving on-road behavior.
It features a multi-radius profile with a wider and longer contour in order to increase the ground contact area and therefore improve grip and stability even on inclines.
The height of the tread pattern has been significantly increased to enhance damping capacity and comfort.
The profile of the front tire follows the same pattern and similar geometry as that of the rear tire to ensure synchronized behavior of the whole.

The KAROO™ Street features a high-silica compound with a balanced proportion of carbon black and resins to deliver excellent road grip in both dry and wet conditions.
A significant percentage of carbon black improves the pavement's resistance to tearing and premature wear when used on the road.
The right choice of polymer typology, fillers and resins combined with our exclusive, patented mixing process is the key to improving the cohesion of the different ingredients at the molecular level. The tread design of the KAROO™ Street is derived from the layout of the KAROO™ 3 and its uniquely shaped lugs, with the precise aim of offering excellent road performance, even wear and a high level of stability combined with real cross-country capabilities.
Extra-large central studs create a wide, solid contact zone for high-speed stability on the road.
When riding off-road, the V-shaped stud layout and numerous active edges ensure grip during acceleration, traction and braking. On the road, the stud layout reduces ground-contact vibrations and helps maximize wear uniformity and longevity.
Longitudinal grooves in the middle of the center blocks ensure water evacuation and the tire's self-cleaning capacity.
Wide transverse grooves allow the blocks to dig into the ground, ensuring off-road traction especially on very compact soil and clay.
The variable shape of the blocks, combined with their V-shaped arrangement, ensures a large number of active edges for enhanced off-road traction.
Large lateral blocks provide a wide contact area when banking, offering grip when cornering and stability at high speeds.


Finally, the KAROO™ Street perfectly integrates modern electronic aids such as ABS and traction control.
The combination of the extra-wide blocks and their V-shaped layout with the high rigidity of the tire structure provides a high level of stability, traction and smooth steering. This provides good feedback to the ABS, traction control and other electronic aids, since there's no interference from tread vibration or deformations found on other tires.
