Akrapovic housing guards are made from 25 mm sand-blasted titanium tubing for lighter weight and improved corrosion resistance. It is around 40% lighter than comparable stainless steel versions, while still offering the same high-strength mechanical properties.
It weighs in at 3.02 kg, making it one of the lightest crankcase guards on the market for the BMW R1300GS and R1300GS Adventure. Developed to protect the motorcycle's engine, the construction is partially attached to the chassis to distribute any impact.
