Can you roll an open chinstrap with a modulable?
Yes and no. It all depends on your helmet's certification. In Europe, all helmets are ECE 22-05 and soon ECE 22-06 approved. This does not mean that you can ride with your chin strap open. To be able to ride with the chin strap open, your modular motorcycle helmet must be P/J approved. In this case, your helmet has both jet and full-face approval. This means you can ride with your nose to the wind. This is the case, for example, with the Shoei Neotec II. Dual-approved modular helmets can be identified by the mechanism that locks the chin strap in the up position.
